Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies when you use UwU Bot on Discord, sign in to the UwU Bot website, use the store, manage an account, contact support or otherwise interact with services operated by the UwU Bot team.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Discord account information. When you interact with the bot or sign in through Discord, we may receive or store information such as your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, guild/server identifiers, roles or other information made available through Discord’s APIs and the permissions you authorise.

Game and service data. We may store data needed to operate UwU features, including balances, inventories, animals, weapons, teams, quests, streaks, cooldowns, rankings, preferences, achievements, reward history, shop activity and other gameplay state.

Purchase and subscription records. We may store order identifiers, product names, amount, currency, payment status, subscription status, timestamps, refund status and payment-provider references. We do not need to store your full payment-card number.

Moderation, security and support data. Where necessary, we may process reports, warnings, bans, abuse records, fraud indicators, support messages, evidence you choose to submit and records needed to investigate misuse or disputes.

Technical information. When you use the website, our systems and providers may process IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, error logs, session identifiers, authentication events and similar technical data used to operate and secure the Service.

We use information to authenticate users, connect Discord accounts, provide gameplay features, save progress, process purchases and subscriptions, deliver digital items, operate leaderboards, prevent abuse, detect fraud, enforce rules, provide support and maintain the reliability and security of the Service.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand feature usage, diagnose technical problems, balance game systems and improve the Service. Where information is genuinely anonymised so it can no longer identify a person, it is no longer personal data.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we may rely on one or more of the following depending on the activity: performance of a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and the establishment or defence of legal claims.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests may include preventing fraud and abuse, keeping accounts secure, maintaining game integrity, resolving disputes and improving service reliability.

The website may use cookies, local storage or similar browser technologies that are necessary for sign-in, session continuity, security, preferences and core site functionality.

Authentication cookies and session identifiers help keep you signed in and prevent unauthorised access. You can usually control cookies in your browser, but blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working correctly.

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers where necessary to operate UwU Bot, including hosting, database, infrastructure, analytics, authentication, security and payment providers.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, protect the Service or handle a business reorganisation. Providers are expected to handle information only for authorised purposes and subject to applicable contractual or legal safeguards.

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy policies and security standards. We generally receive transaction status and identifiers rather than full card credentials.

We may retain enough purchase information to deliver products, manage subscriptions, handle refunds, respond to disputes, prevent fraud and meet accounting or legal obligations.

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including providing the Service, maintaining account history, resolving disputes, preventing repeat abuse or fraud, complying with legal and accounting requirements and enforcing agreements.

Retention periods can vary by data type. For example, active gameplay data may remain while your account is in use, while financial or security records may need to be kept longer. When information is no longer required, we may delete it, anonymise it or securely archive it where law permits.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Measures may include authentication controls, restricted administrative access, encrypted network connections, provider security controls, logging and backups.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your Discord account, use secure credentials where applicable and contact support if you believe your UwU account or purchases have been compromised.

Our service providers and infrastructure may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required by applicable data-protection law, international transfers are handled using recognised safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection to certain processing, portability, withdrawal of consent or a review of how your information is handled.

Some requests may be limited where we must keep information for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or other lawful reasons. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.

To make a privacy request, contact support. Please provide your Discord user ID and enough information for us to locate the relevant account, but do not send passwords, full card details or other unnecessary sensitive information.

UwU Bot is not intended for anyone below the minimum age permitted by Discord or applicable law. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children who are not permitted to use the Service.

If you believe an underage user has provided personal information in violation of applicable requirements, contact support so the situation can be reviewed.

UwU Bot operates on and connects with third-party services such as Discord and payment providers. Those services are independent and have their own terms and privacy practices. This Policy does not control how a third party processes information for its own purposes.

If you leave our website through an external link, review the privacy policy of the destination service before providing information there.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Service, technology, providers or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top will identify the current version. Material changes may also be announced through the website, Discord or another reasonable channel.
